The Kazakh President suggested establishing the JV at the Kazakhstani-Czech Business Forum in Astana on Monday. "Why not? Given the vast opportunities of the Customs Union, now Czech enterprises will have access to the Russian and Belorussian markets without customs and other barriers," President Nazarbayev said. "Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic continues to grow. Czech imports of engineering products to Kazakhstan totaled $450 million last year. Volume of direct Czech investments into Kazakhstan's economy amounted to $200 million," Nursultan Nazarbayev added. As the Head of State noted ‘the Czech republic is an important partner of our country in Eastern Europe'. "The President of the Czech Republic and I have discussed a wide range of issues in bilateral and multilateral format today. Utmost attention has been paid to foreign policy issues and issues of regional character. And I would like to note that we share common stance on all these issues," Nursultan Nazarbayev added. President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman, in turn, stressed that Kazakhstan is a good place to invest money.
