President Nazarbayev receives Zhambyl region governor K.Bozumbayev

K.Bozumbayev informed the President of the results of the socio-economic development of the region in 2010, development plans for 2011; the Presidential press service reports.

They also talked about investment projects which are under implementation in Zhambyl region.

"Last year the industrial production growth made 114 percent, gross regional product increased by 8 percent, tax revenues to the local budget - by 26 percent. In agricultural sphere 202 ha were covered by drip irrigation in 2010, and in 2011 this technology will be used on 1,400 ha of sown areas. There were repaired 40 water facilities to the amount of KZT 610.5 mln. Within the State Program of Forced Industrial-Innovative Development 8 investment projects amounting to KZT 56 bln were implemented last year. All of them were put into commission," the governor told a briefing.
