President Nazarbayev receives Chairman of Council of Veterans
ASTANA. May 4. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Chairman of the Republican Council of Veterans Kairbek Suleimenov; Kazinform has learnt from the Presidential press service.
K. Suleimenov told the President that on the eve of the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War Kazakhstan regional authorities took all measures to support the veterans.
14,357 veterans live in Kazakhstan. More than 300 of them will receive state awards on the threshold of the celebration. 32 Kazakh veterans will take part in Moscow Victory Day celebrations, 5 will go to St. Petersburg and 2 veterans will visit Prague. 155 families of those who died during the Great Patriotic War want to visit the burial places of their fathers and grandfathers. It was noted that all necessary funds for those purposes were allocated.
"None of the veterans should be deprived of attention by the State", the President emphasized.
