President Nazarbayev received Prime Minister Massimov
ASTANA. KAZINFORM Today Prime Minister Karim Massimov reported to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on the progress of realization of the President's instructions, Government work and plans for the period ahead, the Akorda press service said.
The President noted that a number of agreements aimed at improving economic relations were reached following the results of the negotiations held in Dushanbe with the leaders of Russia, China and other countries. "The world markets experience decrease in price for our critical raw material, namely, oil and gas. We see decline in industrial output, decline in oil production and export of some products, and decrease of sales with neighbors. All of this is caused by world economic processes. Nevertheless, we have to complete this year adequately preventing falling of the country's economic indicators," the Head of State said. The President stressed that no conditions should aggravate social situation in the country. Nursultan Nazarbayev also highlighted that the Government should develop scenarios meant to deal with various directions of the world markets development and probable signs of a crisis. In his turn, Massimov said that a special working group was set up by the Government jointly with the National Bank to respond to various developments.
Following the results of the meeting the Head of State gave certain tasks.
