President Nazarbayev partakes in session of CSTO Heads of State in Moscow
MOSCOW. May 8. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ President Nursultan Nazarbayev is taking part in a session of the CSTO Heads of State in Moscow.
Opening the session, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev noted that the Summit gives opportunities to exchange impressions and ideas on the most topical issues of the agenda.
"Our meeting is held this time for a reason. It is connected with the jubilee which is celebrated in all our countries, the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory. Now we are working for ensuring stability and security in our countries. Our Organization should play a key stabilizing role in the zone of its responsibility".
The Russian President added thjat the Russian side plane to inform the session participants of the status and prospects on the issues of strategic stability and signing a Treaty on the Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms with the USA. The situation in Kyrgyzstan is also among the issues which are planned to be discussed.
