President N.Nazarbayev attends turbine launching ceremony at Atyrau thermal power plant.
RAU. October 1. KAZINFORM /Andrei Sokolov/ Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has taken part in a launching ceremony of a turbine with capacity of 25 mW at the Atyrau thermal power plant.
This turbine launching is the first stage of the expansion project of the fourth line of the Atyrau thermal power plant. It is an important investment project for the region, on which region's Governor Bergei Ryskaliyev reported to the Head of the State in the course of the telebridge in July.
After the first turbine launching two turbines with capacities of 25 mW will be assembled. Their launching is planned in 2010. Expansion of the Atyrau thermal power plant amounting to about KZT 16.5 bln was financed by the enterprise by the own funds.
"After the project implementation there will be enough capacities of the Atyrau thermal power plant for the region's refusal from electricity procurement from the Russian Federation and Mangystau oblast", the project's head Mukhambetkali Kaliyev informed the Kazakh President.
