President left for Yerevan to take part in CSTO informal summit

ASTANA. August 20. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has left for Yerevan to take part in the informal summit of Heads of the CSTO member states.

Presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are expected to discuss situation in the Kyrgyz Republic and CSTO collective measures on stabilization of the situation in this country as well as proposals on modernization of the crisis management system in the CSTO format at the summit that will be held on August 20-21.

The program of the visit includes an informal meeting of Heads of the CSTO member states with participation of Organization Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha that will be held today. After the meeting the Heads of State are expected to make a statement for press. Later a meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan for a transition period Roza Otunbayeva will be held as well.
