President handed over state awards to several veterans of labor and workers of ArcelorMittal Temirtau
KARAGANDA. July 2. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ By the President's Decree on the eve of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Kazakhstan Magnitka, a group of veterans of labor and workers of ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC has received state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan for their significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.
As previously reported, President Nursultan Nazarbayev handed over the state awards at a commemorative meeting dedicated to the anniversary of the Magnitka in Temirtau on Friday, July 2. The title "Kazakhstan Yenbek Еrі" (The Hero of Labor) was awarded to veteran, well-known steelmaker Argen Zhunussov. The President also handed over the Barys order of the II degree to head of the Association of Financial and Industrial Groups of Russia, former Director General of the Karaganda Steel Plant Oleg Soskovets. Owner of ArcelorMittal Steel company Lakshmi Mittal was awarded with the Dostyk order of the I degree.
Other veterans of labor and employees of ArcelorMittal Temirtau were also marked with the state awards.
