President congratulates Kazakhstanis on People's Unity Day
ASTANA. May 1. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has congratulated his compatriots on the Day of Unity of Kazakhstan People.
"This is the day of our nationwide unity, the holiday of our friendship and concord. The 1st of May has become a real national holiday. It comes to us with summer warmth and bright sun", N. Nazarbayev said at the opening of the festive concert at the square near the municipal Akimat.
"The whole country welcomes this holiday. It brings us new hopes, bright emotions, strength and confidence in future. On this day we feel friendship and unity of all Kazakhstanis, talented people of our country; peace and harmony in our common house - these are our major values", N. Nazarbayev stressed.
"The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan has become one of the most important institutes of the Kazakhstan society over the years of sovereignty. It plays a key role in strengthening inter-ethnic concord and stability in the state", the President said and added that the Assembly would mark its 15th anniversary this year.
"On this wonderful day I wish strong health, happiness and wellbeing, peace and prosperity to all Kazakhstanis", the Head of the State concluded.
