President calls upon EBRD to invest in projects in sphere of technological development of Kazakhstan

"I therefore call upon the Banks' Board of Governors to consider the proposals made for investment projects in Kazakhstan, especially those relating to the intensified processing of raw materials and diversification of the economy," the Head of State said at the EBRD Annual Meeting in Astana.

The President drew particular attention to the technological development of our economy. "It is neither money nor raw materials but technological competence that distinguishes developed countries from developing ones. Accordingly, I request that priority be given to projects aimed at strengthening the scientific and engineering basis of our economy," N.Nazarbayev stressed.
