President awarded with 'Themis' Highest Legal Prize
ASTANA. August 27. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Chairman of the International Union of Lawyers Andrey Trebkov has awarded Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev the Highest Legal Prize "Themis" for 2010 today at the international scientific conference devoted to the 15th anniversary of the Kazakhstan Constitution.
"The board of the Highest Legal Prize "Themis" on a submission from the International Union of Lawyers decided to award you the Prize for 2010", A.Trebkov said addressing the President.
According to him, the award was established in 1996. It is the highest public badge of merit.
"Its motto is "Let the good of the people be the supreme law". As we know, this is your motto too. Strictly complying with it you won deep respect for yourself and Kazakhstanis", A.Trebkov noted.
