President and Chief Executive Officer of Shell discussed cooperation issues
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A meeting of President Nursultan Nazarbayev with Chief Executive Officer of Shell Company Ben van Beurden was held in the Akorda today.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of the activity of the company in Kazakhstan and its participation in development of the oil and gas sector of the country, the press service of the President informs.
Moreover, the interlocutors touched upon the promising spheres of cooperation including implementation of different investment projects. They emphasized the importance of further activation and expansion of cooperation fields.
The President of Kazakhstan drew attention to the changes in the activity of the company that implied its mergence with BG Group. N. Nazarbayev noted that Shell Company was playing an important role in development of the Kashagan field being one of the key investors to the economy of Kazakhstan.
The Head of State expressed his hope that the recent changes in the policy of the company would have a positive effect on the responsibilities taken by the company.
In turn, B. Beurden congratulated N. Nazarbayev on his victory at the past elections having noted that the election was an example of stability for the country and foreign investors.
