Preliminary cause cannot be established at this point – Deputy PM about plane crash near Aktau

Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev commented on the preliminary causes of the plane crash at a press briefing in Aktau, Kazinform News Agency reports.

“Even a preliminary cause cannot be established because there are specialists for that. They will carry out their work. Only after that it will be clear. I can't say anything at this point. I saw what people posted... While it was falling to the ground, it was flipping over, many things could have happened. Therefore, I am far from making any conclusions,” said Kanat Bozumbayev.

Earlier it reported that all Kazakhstani citizens died in the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash near Aktau. According to the Kazakh Ministry of Transport, out of 67 people on board the plane, 38 died.

Among six Kazakhstani victims of the plane crash in Aktau: four are from the Mangistau region, one from the Kostanay region, and one - from Astana.
