Powerful bomb defused in Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA. May 20. KAZINFORM An explosive device equivalent to 30 kilograms of TNT has been defused on the motor road Agvali-Echeda in Dagestan's Tsumadinsky region, ITAR-TASS learnt at the law enforcement bodies of the republic on Thursday; Kazinform refers to ITAR-TASS.
"During a search operation, a homemade explosive device, more than one hundred cartridges and electric detonators were found in a deserted house," a law enforcer said. "The bomb was found 150 meters from the site of the blast which occurred on May 17."
The explosive device was destroyed. Investigation is underway; Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
