"USD 10 bln is a short-term task. The circumstances have intervened, in particular, the global financial crisis", K.Sarybai said.

He also added that larger volumes of oil would be supplied to Turkey through existing Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and planned Samsun-Ceyhan pipeline.

According to the Deputy Minister, road interchanges need to be build in order to increase the trade turnover. "To date the trade is mostly carried out by motor transport. Opening of a railroad from Turkey to Azerbaijan through Georgia and Aktau will promote mutual trade", K.Sarybai said.
