Potential of nuclear technology projects is not fulfilled, Energy Minister

A modern electron accelerator at the Kurchatov Nuclear Technology Park was launched on the eve of 2009. The radiation technologies complex is the first breakthrough facility which was created within the the Strategy of Kazakhstan?s industrial and innovative development. It is designed to produce industrial commodities. Today it produces polyethylene and uncured rubber. In the near future local scientists plan to supply medicaments. The Minister surveyed the complex, and noted that the main objective of Kazakhstan's scientists is to raise the competitiveness of domestic products and supply them to foreign markets. According to S.Mynbayev, our projects still do not earn commercial profit.
