Polish president's plane crashes in western Russia

MOSCOW/WARSAW. April 10. KAZINFORM. A plane carrying Polish President Lech Kaczynski crashed near the Smolensk airport in western Russia Saturday, killing all people on board, said Russian officals; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The Polish Foreign Ministry confirmed that the president and his wife were on the plane.
The plane, a Tupolev Tu-154, was flying from Warsaw to the Russia city of Smolensk also carried the president's wife, the army chief of staff, Deputy Foreign Minsiter Andrzej Kremer and the central bank governor, said Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Piotr Pszkowski.
There were no survivors in the plane.
There were altogether 132 people aboard the plane, Russian news agenices reported; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
