Policeman blamed for tragic car accident on highway to Kostanay
KOSTANAY. June 16. KAZINFORM Two people died, three were hospitalized after a car accident occurred on the Kostanay-Auliyekol-Surgan highway.
According to local police, one of the victims was a civilian, the others - policemen.
VAZ and Toyota cars were heading to Kostanay on Friday (June 15) when the accident occurred. Four policemen and one civilian were in VAZ car and three policemen - in Toyota car.
Toyota driver tried to pass VAZ car and committed a collision. As a result, VAZ car turned turtle several times. The 44-year-old civilian died right away. The 34-year-old VAZ driver passed away in the hospital. Three other VAZ passengers were hospitalized from the scene with various injuries. No injuries are reported among Toyota passengers.
Toyota driver is likely to be arrested for gross violation of road traffic regulations.
