Police seize 27 tons of fish

ATYRAU. KAZINFORM Atyrau police detained a car carrying above 100 kilograms of sturgeons. Since the beginning of the year police seized above 500 kilograms of sturgeons so far.
As for the efforts aimed at combating poaching, resale of illegally-caught small fish and sturgeons, police seized almost 27 tons of fish since January, 2014, the regional internal affairs department said. As earlier reported, Kazakhstan announced ban on fishing sturgeons for five years.
