Police officers save woman and child from fire in Karaganda
KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Karaganda traffic police officers have saved a woman and a child from a house fire, according to the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
"The crew of traffic police represented by the senior police lieutenant Asset Akhmetov, police sergeant Yersin Abikeev, junior sergeant of police Yerzhan Ongarbay saved a woman and a child after they responded to an alarm call on the 17th micro district. When the police officers arrived, they found a disoriented woman and her 5-year-old daughter inside the home which was filled with smoke. The victims were brought to a nearest hospital. Fire fighters eliminated the fire. According to the press-service of the Department of Internal Affairs, the young woman washed clothes and hung it to dry putting a heater at the bottom. One of the clothes fell to the device and caught fire. At that moment the landlady and her daughter were sleeping.
