PM thinks world financial crisis may return by end of 2011

ASTANA. February 23. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov considers that the world financial crisis might return at the end of 2011 - beginning of 2012. In this regard, we should be prepared for the financial crunch. He made it public at the session of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament.

According to the Premier, the increase in prices for energy resources and export goods is beneficial on the one hand, as long as it generates additional revenue allowing us to introduce amendments to the budget. On the other hand, we all remember what it has resulted in 2008.

K.Massimov noted that a working group on monitoring the situation in the world market was established in Kazakhstan by the instruction of the President.

"In this regard, we should be prepared. It is possible that at the end of 2011 - beginning of 2012 we face new challenges of the financial crisis," K.Massimov noted.

Besides, the Head of Government assured that all necessary measures would be taken in case the crisis returned.
