PM thanked ministers, akims of Astana and Almaty cities on contribution to organization of XVIII session of UNWTO General Assembly
ASTANA. January 14. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ Prime Minister Karim Massimov has awarded the ministers, akims of Astana and Almaty cities with the Badges of Gratitude for their contribution to organization and holding of the XVII session of the UNWTO General Assembly, the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport informs.
As is known, the General Assembly of the UNWTO was held October 2-9, 2009 in Astana.
The ceremony took place within a session of the organizing committee on preparation and holding the VII Winter Asian Games in 2011, a press release reads.
Among the awardees are Minister of Tourism and Sport Temirkhan Dosmukhambetov, Minister of Healthcare Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev, Minister of Education and Science Zhansseit Tuimebayev, Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev, Minister of Culture and Information Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed, Minister of Internal Affaiirs Serik Baimaganbetov, Chairman of the Kazkosmos Talgat Mussabayev as well mayors of Almaty and Astana cities Akhmetzhan Yessimov and Imangali Tasmagambetov, governors of akmola and Kyzylorda regions Albert Rau and Bolatbek Kuandykov.
Kazakhstan joined the UNWTO in 1993 as an acting member.
