PM surveyed work of Operations Control Centers of Astana city
ANA. October 31. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has visited the Operations Control Centers of the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs and Astana and surveyed their work.
Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Astana city Marat Demeuov reported the Head of the Government on measures taken by the capital police officers on promotion of public order in the city.
In particular, M. Demeuov noted that "at present 273 CCTV cameras have been installed all over the city. About 1 500 law enforcement officials from which 250 are military servicemen maintain public order every day. The work is held within 24 hours. All transport means are equipped with GPS system".
The Operations Control Center of Astana city was established in 1999. Advanced computer technology, scientific recommendations and achievements of the technical progress are used by the Center. The Center is engaged in information gathering and analysis, surveys the situation in the regions and assumes control in case of need.
