PM Massimov stands for deeper cooperation of legislative and executive branches of government
ASTANA. April 8. KAZINFORM Reappointed Prime Minister Karim Massimov is standing for deeper cooperation of the legislative and executive branches of the government.
He has announced it at a plenary session of the Kazakh Majilis; the Premier's press service reports.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to appoint Karim Massimov as Prime Minister.
"These years were difficult, especially the last crisis. We overcame it; on the other hand, we implement an industrialization program. The Government also offered social modernization. I ask you to give consent on his appointment," N.Nazarbayev said.
The Head of State noted that K.Massimov should stay on as Prime Minister for implementation of all state programs of the socio-economic development of the country.
The President stressed that the world did not overcome until the end the existing conditions for emergence of a second wave of the global economic crisis.
The Majilis deputies backed the candidacy of Karim Massimov to the post of Prime Minister.
K.Massimov, in his turn, congratulated the President on an official assumption of the office of the President of Kazakhstan and thanked him for confidence.
"I am proud of the fact that you confide me to participate in our country's development. I will prove with my work that I have a right to your confidence," K.Massimov said.
The Prime Minister thanked the parliamentarian deputy corps, members of Nur Otan People's Democratic Party for support.
