PM charged Competition Protection Agency to start preparation for accessing single economic space on Customs Union's territory
ASTANA. January 21. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Prime Minister Karim Massimov entrusted the Competition Protection Agency with a task to start preparation for joining the single economic space on the Customs Union's territory.
Establishment of the Customs Union by Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia on January 1, 2010 provides for standardization of the tariffs and customs duties as well creation of a single competition field.
However, in December 2009 the heads of the states took a decision to create a single economic space not later than January 1, 2012.
In this view, the Premier charged to carry out coordination of anti-monopoly activity with other countries based on Kazakhstan legislation as much as possible, since as he noted "the Russian side acknowledges Kazakhstan's progress in this direction".
