PM Bektenov states importance of full-fledged implementation of EAEU’s integrated information system
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov participated in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan and discussed the EAEU’s digital agenda with the heads of government of the member states on the margins of the III Eurasian Economic Forum “Digitalization in Modern Realities – an Imperative to Ensure the Four Freedoms,” Kazinform News Agency reports.
The plenary session of the Forum attended by the heads of government of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and the First Vice President of Iran, discussed the prospects for digitalization of economic processes.
Taking the floor, Olzhas Bektenov noted that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, gives special attention to the development of digitalization within the EAEU. The Kazakh side pointed out the importance of full-fledged implementation of the EAEU’s integrated information system, which will enable to ensure interstate exchange of data and electronic documents among the member states.
The meetings held behind closed doors and in extended formats also reviewed joint measures of further strengthening the collaboration in trade, transport, logistics and agro-industrial complex.
