Plenary session of the Foreign Investors' Council chaired by Kazakh President starts its work
ASTANA. May 18. KAZINFORM The 24th plenary meeting of the Foreign Investors' Council chaired by the President of Kazakhstan on "Modernization and renovation of Kazakhstan's enterprises" has started its work in Astana at the Nazarbayev University.
The members of the Council, including President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Thomas Mirow, ArcelorMittal CEO Lakshmi Mittal, stockholder of the Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation Alexander Mashkevich, LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov and others are to share their practice in the sphere of modernization of their companies, and tell about foreign companies' contribution to Kazakhstan's modernization under "Productivity 2020" programme.
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Karim Massimov are expected to have bilateral meetings with the members of the Foreign Investors' Council.
Note: The Foreign Investors' Council (FIC) is an advisory body to promote direct dialogue between the Government of Kazakhstan and foreign investors in order to efficiently address key issues related to their investment activities in the country, to improve the investment climate of Kazakhstan for the benefit of foreign investors, local and national companies, the economic development and wealth of the country and its people.
