Plane carrying Almaty woman suffered a stroke in the US arrives in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM A chartered plane carrying a 55-year-old national of Kazakhstan who suffered a stroke in the US is expected to land soon in Almaty, the Kazakh Healthcare Ministry's press service said.

On September 11 Yelena Remizova came to see her daughter living in San Francisco. On October 7 she was rushed to hospital with a massive stroke diagnosis. Later she was sent to the University of California San Francisco to undergo there four surgeries. Her daughter asked the Kazakh Embassy in the US to help her mother return home. The Embassy, in its turn, addressed the Kazakh Healthcare Ministry to help transport her to Almaty for further treatment and rehabilitation.
