Pilot returns to LAX because of bird strike

LOS ANGELES. August 31. KAZINFORM An Alaska Airlines flight has returned to Los Angeles International Airport after the pilot reported a bird had struck the plane; Kazinform refers to China Daily.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus says Flight 707 plane took off from LAX Monday night and was about a mile and a half west of the airport when the pilot reported the strike.
The pilot returned to the airport so the plane could be checked for damage; Kazinform cites China Daily.
