Petropavlovsk residents donated blood on the eve of Health Worker Day
PETROPAVLOVSK. June 14. KAZINFORM - Yesterday in Petropavlovsk (North Kazakhstan), on the eve of medical officer day in the regional blood center there was conducted an action for voluntary blood donation, which was attended by a large number of citizens.
Before one gives blood, potential donors are asked to answer the questionnaire. Then they pass a preliminary analysis and see the therapist, where hemoglobin levels are checked, together with blood pressure, and anthropometric data are being fixed - height and weight.
Today the bank of the regional blood center has more than 2 tons of plasma elements containing red blood cells, thus allowing the blood for all medical institutions.
As the director of the regional blood center Sabyrzhan Taukelov says, the number of donors in the center has been steadily increasing due to purposeful efforts to attract volunteer donors.
"I would like to thank our most active donors, employees of the Department of the Interior, traffic police, medical staff organizations that are actively involved in donor movement, as well as the citizens who donate blood many times," states the director of the Blood Center.
