"As part of the work on the new Criminal Code of Kazakhstan, we have tightened the punishment for perjured testimony. It will be up to 13 years in prison. Otherwise, these institutions of investigation and trial will not be able to work, they will have serious problems. Today witnesses give one evidence, tomorrow they change it, and there is no responsibility for it", said I.Merkel.
