Pavlodar rgn boasts significant decline in infant mortality

PAVLODAR. KAZINFORM "The infant mortality rate has decreased by 37,6% for the past three years to make 8,43 per 1000 live births," healthcare department head Nurlan Kasimov told a briefing for journalists. "This success is the result of good work and constant career enhancement of obstetricians and pediatricians of the region."
"Construction of a prenatal centre worth KZT 1,9 bln will start in the region. Above half billion of the funds will be spent for up-to-date equipment to further imrpove quality of medical care," he added.
