Pavlodar cardiac surgeons perform unique operation

Pavlodar cardiac surgeons performed a unique operation replacing the woman’s poorly working mitral valve via a small incision on her thigh, Kazinform Agency reports.
Such operations were performed earlier only at the Astana national cardiac surgery centre. It is a unique practice for Pavlodar cardiac surgeons.
The successful surgery lasted for 3.5 hours. The patient will be discharged from the hospital soon.
