Participants of IV Congress of Religious Leaders should develop recommendations to promote inter-cultural dialogue, N. Nazarbayev
ASTANA. February 20. KAZINFORM Today Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kairat Mami, the Presidential press service informs.
Mami informed the President of the preparations for the IV Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions scheduled for May 30-31 in Astana and briefed on the recent meeting of the working group of the Congress Secretariat.
"The working group supported the need to establish the Council of Religious Leaders and elaborated proposals for the final document of the forum - the Address of the Congress participants to the world community. Invitations for the forthcoming Congress were sent to the heads of leading world religions, some heads of state, well-known politicians and experts," Mami said.
The President charged to continue the active work in this direction.
"Since the III Congress the world has changed. The participants of the IV Congress should elaborate recommendations to promote inter-cultural and interfaith dialogue in light of the late changes," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
