Participants of ICAPP General Assembly support Kazakhstan’s initiative on announcing August 29 Day of Nuclear Weapons Renunciation

"We call nuclear weapon states to extend responsibility before the world community andfulfil obligations on quality and quantitative reduction of stockpiles of nuclear weapons. In this regard we welcome recent agreements between the Russian Federation and United States of America in nuclear disarmament and reduction of strategic nuclear forces. We believe that the problem of the global disarmament will be solved in case all countries having nuclear forces including the world community will address the problem as well. We support Kazakhstan's initiative on announcing August 29 the World Day of Nuclear Weapons Renunciation", - the document said.
