Parliamentary Delegation of the Czech Republic arrives in E-Kazakhstan rgn

UST-KAMENOGORSK. November 21. KAZINFORM - Parliamentary delegation of the Czech Republic headed by the Deputy Senate Premysl Sobotka has arrived in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The delegation includes the Czech Ambassador to Kazakhstan Bedrich Kopecky, the Chairman of the Committee on National Economy, Agriculture and Transport of the Senate of the Czech Parliament Jan Hyde and the committee members Veronica Vretsionova, Karel Koritarzh, Andrea Yuzhova. The delegation was accompanied by Talgatbek Abaidildin, a representative of the Committee for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship of the Kazakh Senate.

The guests have visited Ust-Kamenogorsk "Asia Auto" assembly plant and met with the regional Akim Berdybek Saparbayev. The two sides exchanged views on the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation. Last summer Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted the 6th meeting of the Kazakh-Czech intergovernmental commission on economic, industrial and scientific-technical collaboration.

"In October last year the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev paid visit to the Czech Republic during which the agreement was signed between the twinning the East Kazakhstan and the Pilsen regions. In early 2014 we plan to visit the Czech Republic", said Akim of the region.

Czech MPs suggested closer cooperation in the field of agriculture. According to Ian Hyde there are firms that produce small and handy machine for farming, compact mini factories for the processing of agricultural products, milk, slaughter houses, granaries, etc.

NOTE: Trade turnover between the East Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic for the first 9 months of the current year amounted to USD 47, 3 million (1, 9% of the total foreign trade turnover) with an increase of 19 times to the level of 2012. Exports rose by 6 times, import by 19 times.
