PARLIAMENT ROSTRUM: MPs concerned about Kazakhstani inventions' fate, state of Khoja Ahmed Yassaui Mausoleum and Lake Alakol access roads construction

ASTANA. January 22. KAZINFORM - Kazakh parliamentarians are in a constant communication with the voters. For solving problems they often use the application form known as an inquiry of deputy.

On Wednesday, January 22 , at the plenary session of the Majilis deputies applied to the government with their concerns.

Deputy Viktor Kiyanskiy told the Head of the Government that Kazakh scientists and inventors do not receive funding for inventions' development although Kazakhstan's legislation provides for various forms of support for innovation activities in the country. V.Kiyansky concerned about the fate of the invention, made by a Doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences L.G.Marchenko from the Institute of Geological Sciences named after K.Satpayev, nanotechnology for precious metals extraction from tails of so-called "black shale ore type''. This technology allows to increase the production of gold, silver and platinum from wastes and simultaneously solves the environmental problem.

Deputy Valikhan Bishimbayev informed the PM on unsatisfactory state of the Khoja Ahmed Yassaui Mausoleum. For the first time experts identified yellow spots on the stalactites which could lead to the collapse of the stalactites and damage to the entire building. It was found out that a number of problems arose because of inappropriate rebuilding materials.

Lake Alakol remains a weak point on the tourist map of Kazakhstan due to a number of transport problems. Deputy Aitkul Samakova noted that Lake Alakol attracts people with healing properties of its waters and therapeutic sulfurated muds. In addition, it is one of the most beautiful places in Kazakhstan, in May 2013 UNESCO included the Lake Alakol in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves.

Member of «national communists» Tursunbek Omurzakov sent his deputy's request to the Ministry of Regional Development. Majilisman noted that Kazakhstan consumers' arrears for public facilities amounted to KZT 5.8 billion.

Deputy Nikolai Kuzmin sent his inquiry to the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the National Bank. He talked about the rapid growth of consumer-related debt of population to second-tier banks which at the end of 2013 amounted to KZT 2.2 trillion.
