Overhauled school for hearing-impaired kids in Almaty ready to accept 250 pupils

ALMATY. September 1. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turisbekova/ - Today Almaty Akim Akhmetzhan Yessimov has visited the boarding school for hearing-impaired children that has had complete overhaul. KZT 520 million was provided for reconstruction of the school, and KZT 22 million was spent on construction of the utilities system. The city Akim congratulated kids with the start of a new school year and presented a plasma television set as a gift. "Our government is doing its best to make you full members and dignified citizens of your country", A. Yessimov said.
With the new bedroom facilities put into service the capacity of the school has expanded to 250 seats. At present there are 140 pupils living and studying at the school.
