Over 60 companies gathered for InterFood Astana-2010 exhibition in Astana

Over 60 companies from 10 countries of the world, namely, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Korea, Latvia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Japan are taking part in it. 49% of the total number of the exponents is presented by domestic producers, 33% - by Russian companies, 9% - by neighbor countries and 9% - by foreign companies. 74% of the companies participate in the InterFood Astana for the first time.

"For 12 years InterFood Astana exhibition has turned into a traditional platform of meeting for foreign and domestic experts in food, processing and packing industry", Vice Minister of Agriculture Arman Yevniyev said at the opening ceremony.

According to him, the exhibition provides good opportunity for the producers. "This is a new step towards new technologies, equipment and contacts", he stressed.

The event is held under the support of the ministries of agriculture, economic development and trade, Trade Representation of Russia in Kazakhstan and Astana Commerce and Industry Chamber.
