Over 156 thousand people employed in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM 156.1 thousand people were employed over 9 months of this year. This makes 54.9% of the total number of people applied to the employment agencies, the press service informs.
Thereat, 10.5 thousand people received the government sponsored jobs and 6.2 thousand graduates were sent to undergo youth practice, primeminister. kz site informed.
In accordance with the departments of coordination of employment and social programs of the regions and Astana and Almaty cities, 284 thousand people applied to the departments over 9 months of 2012. This includes 134.9 thousand residents of rural areas.
The unemployment rate reduced by 0.1% and made 5.2% over the third quarter of this year. The number of economically active and employed people increased as well, the press service of the Ministry reported.
Thus, the number of economically active population increased by 97.5 thousand people and made 9.013 mln people in the third quarter of 2012 compared to the corresponding period of 2011. The number of employed population made 8.54 mln people increasing by 1.1%.
