Over 1,000 foreign observers to monitor elections in Kazakhstan - MFA

ASTANA. January 9. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ More than one thousand foreign observers will monitor the elections in Kazakhstan.
Kazakh MFA's official spokesman Altai Abibullayev has told a briefing.
As A.Abibullayev noted, in particular, it will be representatives of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA), PACE, OSCE/ODIHR, CIS, Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking countries, TURKPA, SCO, OIC as well as independent observers from foreign states.
The official spokesman outlined that according to the Central Election Commission, 789 foreign observers were accredited, but the process of accreditation is underway. Besides, more than 120 foreign journalists will come to Kazakhstan for coverage of the course and results of the elections.
