ASTANA. KAZINFORM The Defence Ministry board has convened today in Astana involving heads of the ministry, its departments, chief staff of the branches of the Armed Forces, combat arms commanders of area commands, heads of military educational establishments, noncommissioned officers.
It focused on issues concerning on the status of the Armed Forces, as well as readiness condition, military discipline and law and order in the military and further development tasks, the ministry's press service said. The meeting also addressed realization of the President's Nurly Zhol Address. "As Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed, Kazakhstan needs an army able to counter any military-political and economic threats. Therefore we should take an active part in the fulfillment of the President's Address and make our contribution," he added.
