OSCE ready to assist Kyrgyzstan in restoring rule of law and public order - K. Abdrakhmanov

VIENNA. April 15. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ The OSCE is ready to assist Kyrgyzstan in restoring the rule of the law, public order and guarantees of human rights observance. Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the Organization, Chairman of the Permanent Council Kairat Abdrakhmanov said it yesterday at a special session of the OSCE Permanent Council held in Hofburg Palace of Vienna.

As the Kazakh Diplomat noted, the OSCE, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights as well as the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media were ready to provide support to Kyrgyzstan in all round restoration of the institutes guaranteeing observance of human rights and basic democratic standards in the republic. "The rule of the law and democratic principles must be restored countrywide - bloodshed must not take place again", he stressed.

The Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council called the conflicting parties for peaceful regulation of the situation, activation of work on conducting constitutional reform and new elections. In this view he pointed out necessity of ensuring security of the civilians in all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

K. Abdrakhmanov also noted the OSCE member countries would be regularly informed of the situation in Kyrgyzstan. "There will be held consultations regarding help in stabilization and further development of Kyrgyzstan. All actions will be coordinated with the Kyrgyz side", he added.
