OSCE Chairman-in-office K.Saudabayev to pay official visit to Austria
ASTANA. January 11. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "OSCE Chairman-in-office, Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev will pay official visit to Austria on January 12-15", official representative of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Askar Abdrakhmanov said at the briefing.
"Meetings with Austrian President Heinz Fischer and Minister of Foreign Affairs Michael Spindelegger will be held within the visit. The issues of the Kazakh-Austrian cooperation and interaction within the international organizations will be discussed at the meetings. Signing of an intergovernmental agreement for the promotion and mutual protection of investments is expected to be held upon the results of the negotiations", A.Abdrakhmanov said.
According to him, K.Saudabayev will also hold meetings with heads of the UN Structures in Vienna - the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Office for Drugs and Crime, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization where the issues of Kazakhstan's cooperation with these organizations will be discussed.
K.Saudabayev's participation in the session of the OSCE Permanent Council that will be the first official activity of the Organization within the Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship is to be the main event of the visit. The OSCE Chairman-in-office is expected to report on the top priorities of the Kazakhstan's chairmanship aimed at promoting efficiency of the Organization and extending its contribution to resolution of important international problems.
