OSCE Advisory Council on Human Dimension holds first session

ASTANA. May 4. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The first session of the OSCE Advisory Council on Human Dimension - an advisory body under the Kazakh Foreign Ministry chaired by Ambassador-at-large Madina Jarbussynova takes place in the Ministry.

"As OSCE Chair Kazakhstan strives to maximally use its potential both in humanitarian dimension and equal approach to all three dimensions of the Organization", Director of the OSCE Department of European Cooperation Serzhan Abdykarimov said.

He noted that the civil society and non-governmental organizations mostly pay attention to the issues of the humanitarian dimension as long as they concern the most important aspects of the public life.

S.Abdykarimov said that the members of the Council will discuss the priorities of the Kazakhstan's chairmanship and conduction of activities scheduled in the humanitarian dimension.

Besides, national report including 26 recommendations for Kazakhstan submitted within the UN Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review for 2010 will be discussed as well.
