Operational control center opened in Zhanaozen

The center employs 37 people, of whom 8 are on 24-hour alert. The center avails of one special vehicle and two rescue ones. At the opening ceremony, it was noted that all other regions had already set up such centers that proved to be an efficient coordinator of local interior departments keeping the peace in towns round-the-clock. Currently, the interior ministry is working on the opening of operational control centers in other 26 single-industry towns and 8 towns with grave criminal situation.

"The center is connected to 20 surveillance cameras fixed in crowded places, which will enable the officers to quickly react at breaches of law and make a case, if necessary," - says Colonel Kairat Dalbekov, head of Mangistau region's interior department.
