ASTANA. November 4. KAZINFORM - One of the most important issues in agriculture is the reclamation of irrigated lands, this statement has been made by the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Asylzhan Mamytbekov at the Government Hour in the Majilis.
"If, for example, one hectare of rain-fed land may on average produce goods for KZT 40-50 thousand, the irrigated land's one hectare under modern irrigation technologies may give products equial to KZT 500-600 thousand'', said Mamytbekov.
Asulzhan Mamytbekov noted that on average in 2008-2012 crop farming produced goods worth KZT 950 billion annually which means that irrigated land is a kind of "golden fund" of agriculture in Kazakhstan.
