One of reasons of fire spread at Taldykorgan Drug Rehab Hospital is delayed call to firefighting services

The building of the Regional Drug Rehabilitation Hospital was erected in 1951, Vice Premier Serik Akhmetov has said at a briefing today.

Causes of the fire are under investigation at present. The Governmental Commission considers an issue of paying compensation to the families of the two dead paramedical workers of the hospital. The relatives of the dead patients will receive money for organization of the funerals and other expenses.

"This is a great tragedy for us. We lost so many people in an hour. We will provide any assistance to the families of the victims to hold funerals", Akim of the oblast Serik Umbetov said and expressed gratitude to the President and the Government of Kazakhstan for immediate response to the accident.

Probably, the third day after the tragedy will be announced the day of mourning.
