Keith Whalley, 26, died when his jet ski hit a 27-foot catamaran near Scarborough Harbor at 3.30 a.m. local time on Saturday. Passenger Scott Stretton, 22, is in a critical condition at the Redcliffe Hospital.

Police Inspector Mark Jones said the two men were found floating in the harbor by four fishermen setting out on the Noosa Cat. The crew immediately returned to shore to seek medical assistance.

The catamaran was heading out from Scarborough Harbor and the crew were struck by a jet ski on the port side. They turned the boat around and did a search and found two bodies and thankfully they were wearing life jackets, Jones said.

None of the four fishermen were injured but they were suffering from shock, Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com for full version.
