Oil production restarts at Kashagan

ASTANA. October 7. KAZINFORM - Upon completion of repair works on Kashagan oil field the well has been reopened, the production has been resumed without complications, the press service of the Ministry of Oil and Gas informs.
It bears to remind that on September 24 during a routine inspection of the pipeline coming from the Island D to "Bolashak" plant gas leak was discovered.
Investigation has been made in accordance with the safety requirements. All the onshore and offshore production facilities were transferred to the standby mode and oil production was suspended.
At the moment, the source of the leak identified and repair work completed.
